Town And City Pub Company Warms You Up This Winter With Some Great British Pub Food Favourites

Town & City Pub Company

Think winter British pub food and youll no doubt have images of rich tender beef stew and dumplings and hot crumble with lashings of custard. Well, at Town and Citys pubs youll not be disappointed by the latest Autumn Winter menu.

The new menu which launches in the traditional pubs within the group including Hogshead and Litten Trees on Tuesday 28 October 2008 has plenty of new and improved wintery pub food to suit any discerning pub foodie.

Topping the list of additions, the beef stew and herby dumplings, perfect for crisp wintery days, is slow cooked to ensure the beef is melt in the mouth tender. Also, joining the menu is the award-winning fish pie made with salmon, smoked haddock, prawns and white fish in a creamy leek sauce.

For a filling warm lunchtime alternative to sandwiches and wraps, hot baguettes have been introduced with a selection of three delicious hot toppings welsh rarebit, tuna onion melt and chicken, blue cheese and mushroom. There are also two risotto dishes and a classic Italian carbonara pasta new to the menu.

Comfort, warmth and indulgence are the themes for the dessert menu with great British favourites such as the winter sponge pudding and bramley apple crumble topping the list, both a part of the fabulous two for one offer on all desserts.

Not only has Town and City been busy improving the menu to make it the best one ever, the company has introduced some incredible price busting meal deals to boot. The lunchtime offer of any sandwich, hot baguette, wrap or jacket potato with a drink is now available from just 4.45. Meanwhile a pint of Guinness has been added to the range of drinks choices with the popular all day breakfast offer. Two delicious dishes have been added to the options for the meal deal, two meals from 5.95 - the nations favourite, chicken tikka masala and hot beef yorkie, tender beef rolled into a Yorkshire pudding with gravy and peas.

Claire Murray, Brand Manager for Town and Citys traditional pub estate says, This is our best menu to date, perfect for wintery days with plenty of new and improved dishes as well as incredible money-saving meal deals. Were sure our customers will love it.
