Top Industry Names Join Keynote Line-Up At Natural & Organic Products Europe

Natural Food Show at Natural & Organic Products Europe

Natural & Organic Products Europe - Europe's leading natural product trade event - returns to London's Olympia next month on 3-4 April, with a host of inspiring Keynote sessions led by some of the biggest names from the natural and organic sectors.

Since training and development is key to the running of any successful business, the show's comprehensive Keynote seminar programme will feature leading experts and industry professionals addressing the topics and trends that matter most to today's health store retailers.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the Keynote programme at this year's show, which features some of the best speakers and most influential names in our industry today. It is without doubt our best programme yet," says Simon Barry, Event Director of Natural & Organic Products Europe.

Headline speakers at this year's show include leading nutritionist and writer Patrick Holford — talking on the theme 'The feel good factor (10 proven ways to boost your mood)' - Dr Mark Atkinson and Christine Bailey discussing 'Abundant energy: looking beyond stress and fatigue' - and Dr Tom Gilhooly on 'The end of the cholesterol era'. Leading women's health expert Dr Marilyn Glenville will also be hosting an hour-long session on 'Natural solutions to the menopause and beyond'. A hugely popular speaker at last year's National Health Store Conference, retail guru Alf Dunbar will be making his Olympia debut on Sunday 3 April in a talk that will mix great practical advice with an upbeat, interactive presentation style.

Other key sessions this year include a special 'trade' presentation of this year's Soil Association Organic Market Report - 'Where next for the UK Organic market? Lessons learned and future perspectives' (starting 11am, Monday 4 April) and two important legislation updates.

'Legislation: getting the best outcome for Britain' - featuring Graham Keen, executive director of the HFMA, Sue Croft, director of Consumers for Health Choice (CHC), and Mike Abrahams, founder of Wild Oats Natural Foods store and former chairman of The National Association of Health Stores (NAHS) - will bring retailers and suppliers up to date on the major pieces of EU legislation impacting the health food sector. 'The Changing Herbals Landscape — led by Penny Viner, chair of the UK Herbal Forum — meanwhile will focus on the major changes being ushered in by the ending of the THMPD transition period. Panellist include Steve Mann, head of global regulatory affairs at Nelsons, Alan Martin, co-owner of Food For Thought chain of health food stores, Michael McIntyre, chairman of the European Herbal & Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association (EHTPA), and Dr Robert Verkerk, founder and director of the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH).

Another highlight of the show is an unmissable live interview with Patrick Holden - the former director of the Soil Association. Entitled 'Break on through', this unique session is scheduled for 2pm on Monday 4 April; with content details to be confirmed by the show's organiser, Diversified Business Communications UK, over the coming week.

Over 500 exhibitors are expected to take part in Natural & Organic Products Europe 2011. The show annually attracts trade buyers from across the world in their thousands, and over 7,600 attendees walked the aisles of Olympia last year alone.
