In November 2008, The Daily Grind opened in Bangsar Village. It is the first gourmet burger diner in Malaysia. The philosophy is simple - to serve homemade quality burger patties using fresh ingredients. All patties whether beef, chicken or lamb are made with prime cuts of meat and ground on the premises before being weighed and formed by hand into our delicious burger patties. We do not add anything to our patties apart from seasoning. We also make our own ketchup, chilli and other sauces from scratch as well as our pickles, ice cream and cakes. In August 2010, TDG relocated to a new lot within the same shopping centre. During this time, it underwent a minor adjustment in its concept to make the menu less American and hence the word "diner" was dropped.

While the main focal point of the menu are burgers, TDG also offers a variety of dishes that appeal to the majority of casual diners. There is a good selection of salads and main courses for those who don't feel like having a burger. Some of the signature main courses include Barbecued Manly Beef Ribs, Slow Cooked Lamb Stew and Chicken Maryland. Also new to the menu, sandwiches and hot dogs.

The new layout of the restaurant is divided up into sections. The non-smoking section has mosaic flooring and long banquette seats. Above the banquette seats is the main feature wall that comprises pipes and cogs made up to portray the mechanics to creating a Daily Grind burger. The other half of the restaurant is split into two sections that can be opened up to become one long smoking section. Part of the section comprises more banquette seating with a lot of natural light pouring in from the windows that look out onto the main street of Jalan Telawi 1. The bar is furnished with reclaimed wood flooring and high tables and chairs.
