SoHo Sandwich Company Spreads Feel Good Factor

SoHo Sandwich Company

The Soho Sandwich Company is one of the UKs most innovative food suppliers and due to its successful proposition based on the imaginative use of good ingredients; 2008 sees the company on a high as it is mentioned in Winners Dinners and plans to expand its premises.

The company has however re-worked to perfection any preconceived notions of what can be considered a suitable filling: Awarded Sandwich Designer of The Year 2007, by The British Sandwich Association, for its tomato and chilli jam, Spanish chorizo, roasted sweet potato, alfalfa and baby spinach on ciabattini piatta the team is always delighted to be recognised for its talent within the arena of new product development.

And if producing over 2,000 hand-made sandwiches per day were not enough of a challenge, the company also supplies a range of soups, salads and sauces to many prestigious outlets, for example Lords Cricket Grounds and award winning gastro-pub group Geronimo Inns. Other bespoke projects include Ascot, Farnborough Air Show and London Fashion Week.

Adam Gilbert is managing director and has a culinary career which encompasses time spent in the highly regarded kitchens of establishments such as Claridge's. It was during his time here that Adam was tasked with preparing pommes souffles for Michael Winner and which in turn recently meant that he was acknowledged by Michael as the person who got his arms burnt in the process. However there were no reported casualties as the SoHo Sandwich Company assisted the said gourmand with a VIP boat trip along the Thames to partake of the latest Spice Girls reunion gig.

At the helm with Adam on this occasion as with all business affairs was Dan Silverston.

Adam says: It was a fantastic honour to be able cook for Mr Winner when he hosted a boat party for his friends who were en-route to the Spice Girls concert, and to be over-seeing our space expansion means that we are starting the year on a really positive note. I am sure that all this excitement only adds to our creative output.

Any growth in operations at SoHo Sandwich Company can be seen as a reflection of the nations on-going trust in the traditional sandwich as a stalwart piece of sustenance in an increasingly discerning world; the British market alone is said to be worth some 3 billion per annum with the SoHo Sandwich Company accounting for an approximate 1 million share.
