Promotion on new dishes developed exclusively

 for brand’s latest opening

 

Shanghai Min continues expanding its nostalgic concept taking diners back in time to 1950s Shanghai with a new restaurant in Tuen Mun.

 

The latest branch of the traditional Shanghainese restaurant brand will be opened on December 2 at Tuen Mun Town Plaza.

 

It extends the brand’s stable of branches to eight – joining Shanghai Min restaurants in Central, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Bay, Sha Tin and Kwai Fong.

 

The new restaurant opens with a special promotion from December 2-31 on three new dishes created to celebrate the opening, served exclusively in Tuen Mun.

 

“Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly Slices Served with Steamed Piggy Buns” is discounted from HK$108 to HK$88, luring the heart of gourmets by its attractive presentation. “Old Shanghai Pan Fried Noodles with River Shrimps & Shredded Sea Cucumber”, with seasonal Lei Spring bamboo shoots, fresh river shrimps, shredded sea cucumber and Shanghai cabbage is discounted from HK$148 to HK$98.

 

A hot noodle brings warmth and satisfaction in cold winter. “Noodle with Spicy Minced Meat and Signature Mixed Sauce” with white fungus, black fungus, white sesame, homemade mixed sauce and topped with spicy minced meat is reduced from HK$68 to HK$58.

 

Tuen Mun branch continues Shanghai Min’s retro design theme with wooden and iron-framed glass doors typical of historic Shanghai and European elements including mosaics, classical lamps, glass chandeliers and signature marble table.

 

Chinese-style filigree screens and window gauzes separate semi-open VIP rooms. Refreshing white walls are embedded with walnut frames – adopted as the brand motif – and bricks and tiles bring a touch of neoclassicism.

 

Semicircular leather booth seats embellished with European classical wall lamps beneath white, arched ceilings also inject colonial architectural elements of old Shanghai.

 

The menu continues Shanghai Min’s philosophy of classic Shanghainese delicacies created by master chefs that has popularised the brand from a small Shanghai diner with just four tables to an international icon with branches across China and Hong Kong.
