Following the successful conclusion of the Fairtrade Foundation's Fairtrade Fortnight yesterday, the organisers of next month's Natural & Organic Products Europe have announced which of their exhibitors have chosen to participate in the trade show's popular Fairtrade Trail.
Taking place at London's Olympia on 3-4 April, Natural & Organic Products Europe has built a reputation for being the best place in the UK to source the widest choice of Fairtrade products from producers all around the world. With the FAIRTRADE Mark now recognised by nearly three quarters of the UK's general public, the event's Fairtrade Trail seeks to highlight the wealth and diversity of products on offer across the show floor and encourage visiting retailers to expand the Fairtrade ranges that they offer to their customers.
According to the latest figures from The Fairtrade Foundation, the UK's Fairtrade market has continued to show strong growth, with sales of Fairtrade products - increasing by 40% in 2010 to an estimated retail value of £1.17bn.
