The organisers of Scottish Food Fortnight 2007 are delighted to offer you the opportunity to attend the launch of the Scottish Food Fortnight celebrations at Scotland�s Countryside Festival on FRIDAY 31ST AUGUST in the spectacular surrounds of Glamis Castle.
Here you will meet Lady Claire Macdonald and a number of other key figures from Scotland�s culinary industry before being transported to another main event taking place during Scottish Food Fortnight - the launch of the Dundee Flower and Food Festival. Here you will be given the opportunity to attend a wine and food matching session and will meet and see acclaimed chefs demonstrating. Celebrity chef James Martin will be demonstrating on Saturday the 1st September 2007 and Jeremy Lee (from the Great British Menu) will be available for informal chats behind the scenes.
Scottish Food Fortnight 2007 www.scottishfoodfortnight is an annual celebration which aims to create an awareness of the quality and variety of food and drink on offer in Scotland, and to change the habits of what we eat and where we buy it. The celebration takes place between 1-16th September 2007 and boasts Lady Claire Macdonald as one of its patrons and is endorsed by sponsors, Scottish celebrities and chefs, local producers, retailers, restaurateurs, hotels, schools and is supported by the Scottish Parliament. This year, the event has already gained the support of Michelin star chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Martin Wishart, Nick Nairn and Andrew Fairlie.
