McDonald�s Welcomes New Seared Chicken Range

With Australia�s consumer demand for chicken on the rise, McDonald�s Australia is introducing a new Seared Chicken range to its extensive menu of meal choices from 18 November.

Featuring 100% chicken breast fillet, the range is set apart from other menu items by being cooked on a sizzling hotplate using a �searing� method. Marinated in spices, the chicken breast fillet is seared on both sides, helping to lock in moisture and flavour whilst ensuring the fillet is cooked to perfection and tender and delicious throughout.

Catriona Noble, Managing Director of McDonald�s Australia, said �Following the successful response to the Crispy Chicken menu that we launched in November 2007, McDonald�s has acknowledged consumer demand for more chicken choices and introduced the Seared Chicken range.�

�With six new menu items - three burgers, two salads and one snack wrap - McDonald�s Australia believes the Seared Chicken range will be a welcome addition for customers looking for more variety in convenient chicken choices.�

The new Seared Chicken range includes:

� Seared Chicken Classic Burger � a toasted water split bun topped with wheat germ, creamy mayonnaise, fresh tatsoi salad mix and a seared 100% chicken breast fillet

� Seared Chicken Deluxe Burger � a toasted water split bun topped with wheat germ, Premium Ranch sauce, fresh tatsoi salad mix, fresh tomato, a slice of tasty cheese and a seared 100% chicken breast fillet

� Seared Chicken Bacon Deluxe Burger � a toasted water split bun topped with wheat germ, Premium Ranch sauce, fresh tatsoi salad mix, fresh tomato, a slice of tasty cheese, a rasher of premium bacon and seared 100% chicken breast fillet

� Seared Chicken Classic Salad � a seared 100% chicken breast fillet, premium salad leaves with grape tomatoes, cucumber, parmesan cheese and bagel chips. Served with balsamic dressing

� Seared Chicken Caesar Salad � a seared 100% chicken breast fillet, premium salad leaves with parmesan cheese, bacon bits, bagel chips and Caesar dressing

� Seared Chicken Mini Snack Wrap � a wheat flour tortilla topped with creamy mayonnaise, fresh iceberg lettuce and half a seared 100% chicken breast fillet
