Notes to editors:

In 1908 the Harvard Business School was established, Henry Ford produced the Model T and Ohio-based engineer, Herbert Johnston, began work on developing a commercial mixer.

In 1936, Johnston employed the design skills of Egmont Arens, editor of Creative Arts and Vanity Fair magazines. His flair, combined with the uncompromising quality of the KitchenAid mixer, produced three new award-winning mixer models.

The KitchenAid Artisan Collection now includes a toaster, espresso maker, burr grinder, food processor, waffle maker and blender, as well as the original mixer. All of the products have the same tactile, retro look, with solid knobs, buttons and smooth curved lines.
