Go On A Tasting Adventure This Chocolate Week With Hotel Chocolat

Luxury British chocolatier and cocoa grower, Hotel Chocolat, is launching an exciting trio of events to celebrate National Chocolate Week this year - by staging chocolate tasting experiences in different locations around the country; by hosting an exclusive 'cacao cuisine' Supper Club; and by participating in the biggest yet Chocolate Unwrapped festival in Covent Garden. Chocolate Week runs from 8th to 14th October 2012.

 

The company’s Tasting Adventures are guided chocolate tasting events that are regularly sold out weeks before and will be held every night of Chocolate Week in a different location. During the exclusive two-hour event, participants are expertly guided through 12 different chocolates, learning how to taste and how to pick out nuances of flavour influenced by such things as the type of cocoa, terroir and conching time.  The evening events will be hosted in Manchester, York, Cheltenham, Edinburgh and Bristol and in London at Covent Garden and Borough Market.  Booking is through the Hotel Chocolat website.

 

The Supper Club is a delicious introduction to Hotel Chocolat's exclusive 'cacao cuisine' style of cooking, pioneered at Boucan Hotel & Restaurant situated on the company's cocoa estate. Held at the flagship Roast+Conch in Covent Garden, the Supper Club menu will be prepared in the theatre kitchen and will feature cocoa throughout - as a savoury spice, a delicate infusion and in chocolate form in savoury and sweet recipes. The Supper Club will be held on Friday, 12th October and bookings are made through the Hotel Chocolat website.

 

At Chocolate Unwrapped, which this year is bigger than ever, Hotel Chocolat will have three stands showcasing it’s Less Sugar, More Cocoa chocolate philosophy, as well as a Roast+Conch Pop Up Café – where event goers can taste a range of its unique cacao cuisine dishes, as well as trying the company’s new cocoa drinks, made possible by new roasting techniques.
