Fine Food Australia

Sydney Show Huge Success Fine Food Australia ran last week in Sydney - and has been judged an outstanding success by visitors and exhibitors.

This huge trade exhibition filled all six halls of the convention centre and attracted a record audience of 28,300 buyers.

The event actually comprised Fine Food, Hotel Australia, Convenience World and Fine Wine & Spirits. All four shows worked well with solid business conducted on the floor.

According to Alistair Yeo of Sanitarium this is one of the best food exhibitions we have ever been involved with. The audience quality was superb.

Austrade reports that the show attracted almost 2000 overseas buyers. These included high powered buying teams from Royal Co (Japan), Park n Shop (Hong Kong) and Cold Storage (Singapore). Fine Food Australia returns to Melbourne from 11-14 September 2006. Organisers report that 70% of space has already been booked so it looks like another sell-out.

Coffee is good for you! For years we have been told not to drink too much coffee, but now scientists claim drinking at least one cup a day is actually good for your health. A series of 25 studies shows coffee is bursting with health benefits from its tannin and antioxidants. And the caffeine in coffee can reduce the risk of asthma attacks and help improve circulation within the heart. Several studies have also revealed coffee drinkers have a lower risk of developing certain cancers. They are also said to have a lower risk of Parkinsons disease, type-2 diabetes, Alzheimers disease and alcohol-related liver damage. (Daily Mail)
