Guide Hachette, the leading annual French wine guide, has presented an exceptional award to Champagne Gosset. The Grappe dOr du Guide Hachette des Vins 2010 was awarded to Champagne Gosset Grande Reserve, at a special ceremony earlier this month in Paris, to celebrate the 25th edition of the guide. This award is in addition to Grande Reserve receiving a Coup de Coeur award. The presentation was made to Jean-Pierre Cointreau, CEO of Champagne Gosset and Cellar Master Jean-Pierre Mareigner by leading French comedian and impersonator Laurent Gerra.
Champagne Gosset has been singled out for praise by Guide Hachette on a number of occasions in the past, and various cuvees of ours have been awarded a total of 12 different Coups de Coeur over the years. Says Patrick Ligeron, UK Export Manager for Champagne Gosset. We were particularly proud to receive the Grappe dOr; what a wonderful gift for our 425th birthday.

Editors Note: Guide Hachette tastes around 36,000 French and Swiss, Luxembourg and, now, Canadian wines by appellation and 2,000 champagnes. The guide includes some 10,000 (having rejected those wines which didn't make the grade), it examines every appellation (by region) and rates wines by awarding stars (see below).
No star Recommended * Excellent ** Remarkable *** Exceptional
In addition, the very best one or two wines from an appellation is sometimes awarded the 'Coup de Coeur', the very highest recommendation. Champagne Gosset is distributed in the UK exclusively by McKinley Vintners Telephone: 020 7928 7300 www.mckinleyvintners.co.uk email info@mckinleyvintners.co.uk
