Adelaide�s GoodLife Modern Organic Pizza restaurant (www.goodlifepizza.com) has become one of the first restaurants in Australia to achieve zero net emission status (ZeroCTM) and is proud to offer Australia�s first carbonless pizza.

Thanks to South Australian carbon specialists Balance Carbon Pty Ltd, owners Martin and Jake Greenrod discovered that their business produced 333 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions last financial year. They now offset their entire output by paying approximately AUD$20 per tonne to the New South Wales Carbon Abatement Scheme, which funds tree plantings and research into solar and wind energy.

�We are proud to be able to contribute positively to the issue of climate change and wanted to make sure our business was at the fore front of doing the right thing in terms of smart eating� says Greenrod.

GoodLife is Australia�s first NASAA (National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia) certified organic pizza restaurant serving select local and/or organic pizza, wines and coffee. To source quality organic ingredients year-round it maintains partnerships with trusted key suppliers from South Australia�s local farmers markets including the Barossa and Willunga, as well as Adelaide�s Central Market.

�We thought about it and realized people wanted to eat healthily but still enjoy a food they loved, and what better vehicle than a pizza to present quality local SA ingredients� says Greenrod.
