Boutique Hong Kong catering company ‘Gingers’ is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a novel concept, ‘Gingers, The Pop-up’ showcasing their favourite dishes.
For the first time, members of the public have an opportunity to savour cuisine of the renowned caterers usually served only to corporations and private parties.
The unique dining event ‘Gingers, The Pop-up’ is being staged for just one week from October 15-21 (excluding Sunday October 16) at The Space, 210 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan.
“‘Pop-ups, one-off places for people to enjoy great dinners in great surroundings, while new to Hong Kong, are hugely popular in New York and London,” said Gingers’ founder and owner Liz Seaton, “we thought this would be a superb way to celebrate our landmark anniversary and a great opportunity to share with Hong Kong people, the dishes thaRt are can only normally be enjoyed during private parties.”
Due to limited seating, early booking is recommended via our website at www.gingers.com.hk/pop-up or by telephone on 2964 9160.
Four-course set dinner menus are changed daily, with vegetarian options available on request, served from 7.00 – 9.00 pm at HK$650 per person.
Included in the price is a cocktail with canapés on arrival, as well as tea or coffee with petit fours served after dessert.
Competitively priced wine, Champagne and sparkling wine can also be pre-ordered, priced from HK$200 to HK$550 a bottle.
The 'Caterer for Business and Pleasure' Gingers has clients ranging from the largest multinational corporations to small local firms and private individuals.
Gingers was founded in 2001 by Scottish chef Liz Seaton.
Today the boutique catering company employs a full time team of 15 with around 35 support staff and catering for over 1,000 events per year.
Catering extends from executive lunches, cocktail parties and junk trips to private dinners, buffet parties, BBQs and weddings, and much more. Unique events have included catering for a private jet.
Notable parties have included the launch of the Financial Times in Asia for over 600 guests – themed pink after the newspaper – and the launch party for entertainment channel BBC Prime.
Gingers is renowned for providing a wide range of high quality Western cuisine with Asian influences, reflecting Gingers Hong Kong origins – and tailoring menus precisely to client preferences.
As Liz reflects: “We still strive for the same level of quality and passion that Gingers began with so many years ago. Our 10th anniversary is a perfect opportunity to showcase our passion for cooking to the public, as well as private clients.”
