Black And Blue

Black & Blue, the original London steakhouse, has opened a new restaurant in Londons larder Borough Market SE1 (August 2006).

The Design Built into the arches of a railway bridge and at over 5,000 square feet, Black & Blue Rochester Walk is both bright and airy.

The restaurant seats up to 140 diners in comfortable leather-upholstered booths and at casual tables scattered around the room. There are two dedicated bar areas one on the ground floor where 40-50 guests can enjoy drinks and snacks plus an intimate champagne bar upstairs that is also be available for private hire.

Inside, the exposed brick and wood panelled restaurant features large retro Bovril advertisements on the walls. Theres also a glass lift for staff and diners to travel between the ground and first floors. Outside, Black & Blues trademark torches light up the glass fronted restaurant.

The Steaks Like its sister restaurants, the new Black & Blue combines friendly service and great steaks at a reasonable price in an informal atmosphere. Only the very best, fully traceable meat is served, selected from traditionally reared and grass fed beef dry aged for 28 days.
