“Abbazia Di Rosazzo” and “Sosso” to be featured for the first time in Asia
together with the best Italian white wine of the year, “Terre Alte 2009”
Hong Kong - July 5, 2012 –Domani proudly presents an exclusive ‘wine maker table dinner’ on 8 July, and an exquisite wine dinner on 9 July, featuring wines from legendary winery Livio Felluga.
Drawing on five generations of winemaking, Livio Felluga, winner of 18 Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Awards, is one of the most recognizable and prestigious labels in the world today. Encompassing 135 hillside hectares that are under vine in Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli, Livio Felluga is credited with innovating and mastering modern winemaking in Italy and creating exceptionally lush, crisp and well-balanced wines.
Exclusive Wine Maker Table Dinner with Vertical Tasting
For the first time in Asia, the Wine Maker Table Dinner will feature refined Italian cuisine pairings with fine wines Abbazia Di Rosazzo 2009 and Sosso of Livio Felluga.
Abbazia di Rosazzo literally means Abbey of Rosazzo in Italian. This red wine is a token of Livio’s enduring love for the area of Rosazzo and its Abbey, where Livio first fell in love with wine making in the late 1950s.
Sossó was created in 1989 and named after the Sossó stream, which runs at the foot of the hill where the grapes grow. This red wine is made with carefully selected grapes from the oldest vines of Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, together with a small percentage of Pignolo, from Rosazzo. Vertical tastings of Sosso’ 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2003 will be offered at the dinner.
Mr. Andrea Felluga, winemaker and son of Mr. Livio Felluga will be hosting the wine dinner to share his love of winemaking. This one-night only special Wine Maker Table Dinner with a special menu designed by Executive Chef Andrea Spagoni is only limited to 18 guests on 8 July, priced at HK$1,000+10%.
