IHQ proudly showcases a line-up of BreadTalk Group’s signature brands
SGX-listed BreadTalk Group Limited, an established leading lifestyle F&B group, is proud to unveil its landmark International Headquarters (IHQ) at Paya Lebar iPark on Tai Seng Street.
The $64.08 million BreadTalk IHQ, which commenced construction in August 2011, is slated to open its doors on 4 June 2013, Tuesday. Food lovers can take the opportunity to explore this new and exciting integrated F&B destination which will showcase the major brands by the BreadTalk Group on level one. For phase two, visitors can expect the retail floor on level two to be completed and fully operational by July 2013.
Easily accessible by MRT (Tai Seng station along the Circle Line), the BreadTalk IHQ is set to be the next lifestyle and dining hub in the north-east district with popular brands under its roof, including Din Tai Fung, RamenPlay, BreadTalk, Toast Box and Food Republic.
What’s more, the distinctive F&B zone which can accommodate over 550 diners will showcase a unique seamless design which is inspired by the concept of old Chinese courtyards, or “Siheyuan” in Chinese (四合院). Diners are able to stroll down the adjoining dining spaces of each brand and enjoy the inviting food street experience and hospitality of the BreadTalk Group.
Food Republic
Cleverly fusing classical Oriental style with nature-inspired elements, the new Food Republic at BreadTalkIHQ will wow guests with its carefully planned décor and selection of tenants. Guests will feel transported back in time amidst the unique ambience, antique décor, authentic artefacts sourced from old Chinese villages while being served by traditionally-dressed staff. Fresh vegetables and fruits will be displayed on open shelves to further enhance the bustling bazaar feel. The eight stalls offer plenty of everyday dining choices including Lim’s Yong Tau Foo whose signature fried tofu with minced meat has won them many loyal fans for the past 20 years; Sergeant Hainanese Chicken Rice; Formosa Delights, popular for its Taiwanese stewed beef with noodles soup and Xi’an dao xiao mian (knife shaved noodles), andLi Xin Teochew Fishball Noodle, where diners can savour the hand-made fish balls made based on family recipes passed down since 1968.
Din Tai Fung
Offering the same warmth and inviting vibe found at every Din Tai Fung, this award-winning restaurant at BreadTalkIHQ heralds a nature-inspired dining experience with tastefully modern interiors that embody its Taiwanese heritage. Refreshing green walls and ambient lighting are adopted to create a soothing environment for dining with family or entertaining clients, while chic furnishings further complement the overall elegance.The ubiquitous show kitchen sets the stage for Din Tai Fung’s skilled chefs who are zealously creating the dim sum masterpieces for customers to enjoy. Guests can expect the same Michelin-star dining experience and sterling service at this outlet, and indulge in signature dishes such as Xiao Long Baos (Steamed Pork Dumplings), Steamed Chicken Soup and Fried Rice with Shrimps and Eggs.
RamenPlay
Inspired by traditional Japanese and Chinese food streets, the interiors of RamenPlay at BreadTalkIHQ are designed to reflect its culinary origin and philosophy, which is to balance Japanese cuisine with the unmistakable flair of Chinese culinary appeal. This latest RamenPlay restaurant also stands out with the incorporation of new dishes and beverages to complement a new concept – a vibrant chill-out place for sports lovers*. Apart from the live screening of sports, diners can tuck into new dishes exclusive to RamenPlay at BreadTalk IHQ, which include Hot dogs with Japanese toppings and sauces, thick-cut fries with Japanese seasonings, and a wide range of sake and Japan-imported beers. Fans of RamenPlay can also enjoy its signature items like the hearty Sanpou Tonkotsu Ramen that comes with toroniku (braised pork cheek), cha shu (braised pork belly in char siew sauce) and buta kakuni (braised pork belly in special sauce), and is garnished with black onion sauce to enhance its wholesome flavour.

BreadTalk
Customers can look forward to the new BreadTalk Petite Series which are exclusive to this store. Set to be a hit with families, they include the iCoconut, iCranberry Cream Cheese, iBeanie, iSausage, iTuna and iHam & Cheese. These five affordable creations are sold at $2.80 for any 4 pieces. In addition, don’t miss the 6-in-1 family buns comprising cheese sugar, chocolate chip and butter sugar flavours that are sold at $3.50 at the new BreadTalk IHQ outlet. Guests should drop by BreadTalk’s flagship store which is designed to reflect its baking roots and to display its core values and interpretations of nature through a contemporary rustic-chic décor. The elegant use of wood relays a cosy bread shopping experience and the signature open kitchens allow the chefs to showcase their expertise and how they prepare the freshly baked breads.
Toast Box
This popular eatery features a lush wall garden that enhances its inviting surrounds. A visit to Toast Box is not completed without its signature offerings, like a cup of traditional Nanyang Kopi to go with the Peanut Butter Thick Toast, or Asian delicacies such as Laksa and Curry Chicken Rice. A highlight is the new Soft French Toast Series that will be launched in mid June. Customers can enjoy the Soft French Toast creations with Otah, Peanut Butter, Traditional Kaya, and Ham & Cheese. The mini coffee bean roaster on display is also a perfect showcase during Toast Box’s Nanyang Kopi Appreciation Workshop that will be conducted in conjunction with the opening of BreadTalkIHQ in June.

June Activities for Families
To coincide with the June school holidays, BreadTalk IHQ has lined up many activities for families to enjoy while they dine at the outlets. These include Balloon Sculpting, Nanyang Kopi Appreciation Workshop, and Cookie-making Workshops! There will be BreadTalk Cookieworkz Workshops for children on these weekends - 8, 9, 15 and 16 June (1hr per session, limited to 10pax per session). Customers can sign up for the workshop at $15 each. The exclusive BreadTalk Hello Kitty cookie-making classes cost $20 each. Registration can be made at any BreadTalk outlets in Singapore on a first-come-first-serve basis.
To be held at Toast Box, the Nanyang Kopi Appreciation Workshop on 29 June Sunday (2.30pm to 4pm) will feature a hands-on activity on Kopi roasting and the history of traditional Nanyang coffee beans. Coffee enthusiasts will get to know about the origins of coffee, roasting, brewing, the Toast Box Experience, and easy steps to use the Toast Box Coffee Brew.
