Mr. Vic Cherikoff is a scientist, author, entrepreneur and visionary who has brought the ancient, traditional food resources of Australian Aborigines into the modern fields of food science, nutrition, genetics, pharmacology, adaptogenics and nutragenomics.
In the 1980s, Cherikoff worked in the Human Nutrition Unit of the University of Sydney researching the nutritional value of Australian Aboriginal foods with Professor Jennie Brand-Miller. Cherikoff has a Bachelor degree in Applied Science from the University of Technology and a background in research in clinical pharmacology as well as nutritional science.
He is an author of three books, numerous scientific paper and, contributed articles and maintains numerous websites and blogs related to wild foods. He promotes Australian cuisine through international food events, chef�s curricula, and his cooking show, Dining Downunder, which can be seen on www.youtube.com/chefsaustralia following the series screening in 48 countries.
