Andy and Jo set up Seriously Low Carb at the beginning of 2020, with a mission to create low carb food for every occasion.

Andy first started his low carb journey by avoiding foods such as bread, pasta and potatoes. But as the months wore on he got tired of eating salads twice a day and his cravings of a sandwich kept growing. He searched high and low to find a substitute product, but to no avail. So, he set about creating his own low carb products under the name Seriously Low Carb.

It took seven months to launch the business, 4 days after going live, the pandemic and lockdown hit the UK. Being a food business they could keep trading. They used local whatsapp groups to recruit people to help them set up and distribute. Local shops started to stock their goods throughout the pandemic, the local support Andy & Jo received during this time was incredible.

Seriously Low Carb has now created 22 local full time jobs, and they  have 18 products that they sell through their own website seriouslylowcarb.com, and some listed on Amazon.

The best selling product is the Seriously Low Carb loaf. Standard bread is 45-55g of carbs per 100g. Seriously Low Carb bread has less than 6g of carbs per 100g, which means that two slices of Seriously Low Carb  bread is just 2g of carbs.

Seriously Low Carb are exhibiting at the Food and Drink Expo next week in London, and their game changing low carb loaf has been nominated for their first award, which is the The Product Innovation Award. The award recognises the concept that combines an unprecedented blend of creativity and uniqueness to the food & drink sector.

People who have to follow a low carb lifestyle for medical reasons have said they now feel like they don't have to miss out on foods they loved before.
