InterContinental Hong Kong's Managing Director Jean-Jacques Reibel is delighted to announce that the 2015 Michelin Guide to Hong Kong and Macau has once again honoured three of the hotel's restaurants with a total of 4 Michelin stars – giving InterContinental Hong Kong the distinction of having three Michelin star restaurants under one roof for the third consecutive year.
The hotel's Michelin star restaurants include Yan Toh Heen, which received 2-stars for the first time – an exciting award for the restaurant to receive during its 30th anniversary celebration, along with SPOON by Alain Ducasse with 1- Michelin star and THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill with 1- Michelin star.
Commenting on the awards, Jean-Jacques Reibel says, “We are delighted that three of our restaurants have again been awarded Michelin stars. To receive these stars is an honour and great recognition of the hard work by all of our team members. These awards further enhance InterContinental Hong Kong's position as a destination for truly memorable dining experiences.”
He adds, “Our goal is to have great restaurants, guests love. For three of our restaurants to be honoured with Michelin stars is a tribute to our hotel's commitment to consistently deliver top quality cuisine and service.”

Yan Toh Heen
As the restaurant marks its 30th Anniversary this fall, following five years with 1-star, Chef Lau Yiu Fai and the team at Yan Toh Heen are thrilled to receive 2-Michelin stars for the first time in the 2015 Michelin Guide to Hong Kong & Macau.
With a stunning new look and menu following its 2013 renovation, Yan Toh Heen is recognised as one of the world's finest Chinese restaurants specialising in fine Cantonese cuisine. Over the restaurant's 30 year history, it has received numerous accolades, such as being named one of Asia's top restaurants in the Miele Guide. It is also a Forbes 4-star restaurant. This year, Yan Toh Heen received its 3rd consecutive “Best of Award of Excellence” award from Wine Spectator, which has included the restaurant in its Awards for the past four years.
Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai, who has been with the restaurant since it opened in 1984, and his team prepare exquisite Cantonese cuisine, using only the finest and freshest seasonal produce, refined Chinese cooking methods with a creative modern presentation.
The restaurant features an extensive a la carte menu, plus set lunch and dinner menus and special menus showcasing seasonal Cantonese specialties. At lunchtime, guests can enjoy an extensive selection of traditional and innovative dim sum.
SPOON by Alain Ducasse
SPOON by Alain Ducasse first opened in October 2003 at InterContinental Hong Kong, setting a trend of other world famous chefs to set up restaurants in the city. Headed by Executive Chef Philippe Duc, who has worked with Alain Ducasse for over 15 years, the restaurant features contemporary French cuisine inspired by Alain Ducasse, one of the world's most celebrated chefs.
SPOON by Alain Ducasse is no new comer to awards. The restaurant was named one of the world's “Hot Tables” on Condé Nast Traveler's exclusive “Hot List”, one of the “World's Best Hotel Dining Rooms” by GOURMET Magazine and VOGUE Entertaining & Travel and one of the “10 Great Hotel Restaurants” by HOTELS Magazine. It has also been named one of the “World's Top 100 Restaurants” by Restaurant Magazine (UK). Miele Guide Asia has also featured SPOON as one of the top restaurants in Asia from 2008 - 2012.
SPOON has been recognized by the prestigious Wine Spectator Magazine (USA) for nine consecutive years with the prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence”. The restaurant has been recognized with Michelin stars for five consecutive years.
THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill
THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill is a haven for meat lovers with prime cuts of the world's finest meat, seared to perfection on Hong Kong's only charcoal grill. It also has an elaborate salad bar and an eclectic selection of condiments including twelve specially blended mustards and eight exotic rock salts.
THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill was named one of the “World's Top 10 Hotel Restaurants” by HOTELS Magazine (USA) in 2011. For seven consecutive years, THE STEAK HOUSE has received Wine Spectator's “Best of Award of Excellence”. Its impressive wine cellar features 585 labels and 4,800 bottles that are imported from all corners of the world. 2015 marks the 3rd consecutive year, THE STEAK HOUSE has received 1-Michelin star.
Chef Chan Chiu Ming recently joined InterContinental Hong Kong as THE STEAK HOUSE Chef. He brings 21 years of culinary experience to his new position – having previously worked at several of Hong Kong's most well-known private clubs, including the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Discovery Bay Golf Club, the Hong Kong Football Club and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
