The Million Dollar Lunch is renowned as the most prestigious networking and fundraising luncheon on the social calendar. The lunch brings together Australia�s most influential business leaders, entrepreneurs and some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, with one ambitious aim, to raise $1 million dollars for children with cancer, via the KOALA Foundation (Kids Oncology Leukaemia Action Foundation).

On Friday, 30 July 2010, Crown will again play host to this extraordinary event dubbed the �greatest contact lunch in the country�, where an array of prominent guests and industry leaders will pay $1000.00 per person, to raise funds for children with cancer.

Guests will indulge in culinary delights, courtesy of Crown�s most famous chefs including Gordon Ramsay�s maze restaurant�s Josh Emett, Number 8�s Joe Hlusko and Nobu�s Heather Zheng, being teamed with Maha�s Shane Delia; along with supreme Australian wines, outstanding entertainment, breathtaking auction items, incredible raffle prizes and the renowned Million Dollar Lunch Bar designed by artist David Bromley.

First course, prepared by Shane Delia�s team at Maha will be ocean trout kibbeh neya with smoked corn foam and prawn bastilla with the vegetarian option of coriander falafel with smoked corn foam and eggplant bastilla.

Enda Cunningham, General Manager of maze and maze Grill, Josh Emett and the team at Crown�s newest restaurant, maze, will prepare the second course of twice-cooked poussin with leg �coq au vin� with the vegetarian option of cumin-roasted cauliflower with quinoa, stinging nettle and almond vinaigrette.

Guests will be treated to a hearty main course of milk-fed veal rib eye with wild mushroom fricassee, braised witlof, roasted baby beetroot and truffled Hollandaise with a vegetarian option of pumpkin and ricotta tortellini with sage brown butter, pangratatto and shaved ricotta salata cooked by the team at Crown�s Number 8 restaurant and wine bar, led by new Chef de Cuisine Joe Hlusko.

Last but definitely not least, dessert will be created by the team at Crown�s Nobu, led by new Chef de Cuisine Heather Zheng. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy whisky cappuccino, a green tea truffle, tofu cheesecake, santandagi and passionfruit sorbet.

Raffle prizes are aplenty, with travel and food related treasures including a New Zealand lakeside escape staying at the Lake Okareka Lodge, voted the planet�s best country house in the 2009 World Luxury Hotel Awards, in a private and secluded residence for two nights valued at $24 520.00, an Emirates Wolgan Valley couples getaway staying in a Heritage Suite with private pool, breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and return business class airfares valued at $7 600.00 and a private screening for 18 guests in a Village Gold Class Cinema, with premium food and beverage to see a pre-released movie blockbuster movie.

Committed to helping the Million Dollar Lunch committee achieve its ambitious goals, this incredible charity event has raised $6,144, 250.00 million over the last five years for kids with cancer and has made a real difference to their treatment, care and support.
