Best of British at IFE05

Food From Britain

Food from Britain, the market development consultancy for British food and drink producers, will be raising awareness of its services amongst the industry through its presence at IFE05 from 13-16 March 2005.

Food from Britain (FFB) will host an international pavilion for domestic and overseas buyers looking to source speciality and regional food from Britain at IFE05, and has been working with the English Regional Food Groups to ensure maximum presence of regional food and drink producers at the exhibition. Over 100 producers will feature in the Speciality and Regional Food from Britain sector, as well as a number of producers in the General Foods sector and National Pavilions from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Producers from Heart of England Fine Foods, South West Food and Drink, Deliciously Yorkshire, the South East Food Group Partnership, Tastes of Anglia, Northumbria Larder, North West Fine Foods and East Midlands Fine Foods will ensure that the very best of British food and drink is on show.

In order to support the Regional Food Groups and encourage visitors to find out more about its wide range of services, FFB Regional Food and Drink experts will be available at stand number NH1753 at the back of the Speciality and Regional Food from Britain sector in North Hall 3.

FFB is also working closely with the organisers to promote IFE05 to buyers from across the globe, and will host the International Buyers Lounge whilst taking part in a discussion on the British Food Offering on Sunday 13th March at 10am. Targeting international buyers, the session, hosted by Clive Beddall, will explore the fantastic range of British food and drink available.

Jane Wakeling, Regional Food and Drink Manager, said: Through our presence at IFE05, the UKs leading food and drink exhibition, we hope to raise awareness of the breadth and quality of British food and drink amongst buyers, and encourage regional sourcing across the industry.

In addition, the IGD will present findings from its research into regional food and drink commissioned by IFE and sponsored by FFB at the show on Monday at a VIP briefing session.
