Aqua Restaurant Group Announces the Sale of Hullett House

Hullett House

Aqua Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the sale of its award-winning Hullett House located in 1881 Heritage, the cultural and historical landmark in the heart of TsimSha Tsui. Ownership and all aspects of operations, including its boutique hotel and all restaurants and bars will be transferred on June 15th, 2013 to GR8 Leisure Concept, founded by Mr Marcus Lee.

Housed in a magnificent colonial building that was formerly the Marine Police Headquarters dating back to 1881, Hullett House, with its five fine restaurants and bespoke boutique hotel has become known and loved as a celebration of Hong Kong's rich and vibrant 'East meets West' history.  Opened in October 2009, it has been named one of the world's best new hotels by Conde Nast Traveler's US, UK and Spanish editions as well as Travel+Leisure Magazine.

David Yeo, founder of Aqua Restaurant Group states: "I am incredibly proud of the role Aqua Restaurant Group has played in restoring this magnificent building, bringing an iconic piece of rich Hong Kong heritage to life through the creation of Hullett House.

"It has been an honour to have been able to contribute to the preservation of Hong Kong's cultural legacy and I wish to give my heartfelt thanks to the staff and thousands of customers that helped make this possible. I have confidence that Hullett House's new owner, GR8 Leisure Concept and Mr Marcus Lee will continue to build upon the success and my vision for this wonderful building."

From Monday, 20th May to 14th June, Aqua Restaurant Group would like to thank customers who have supported Hullett House over the years, by offering a complimentary glass of champagne to diners at St. George, the signature fine dining restaurant serving contemporary French cuisine. In addition, diners at the Stables Grill restaurant, The Parlour and Loong Toh Yuen will also be served a complimentary glass of prosecco at dinnertime.

About Hullett House

Housed in a magnificent colonial building dating back to 1881, Hullett House is a celebration of Hong Kong's rich "East meets West" heritage. Guests can stay in a Chinese Imperial suite with hand-painted Qing dynasty murals and a bed fit for an Emperor, an elegant English pastoral suite decorated in restful greens with 26 hand-painted native songbirds or a vibrant China pop-art suite. There are ten individually-designed suites, each with its own terrace and modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, rain-head showers and surround sound. The bespoke Hong Kong experience extends to the dining table with the House's five fine restaurants including St. George with its dining room reminiscent of a 19th-century gentlemen's club and fine French cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Philippe Orrico.
