March 2026: The award-winning* Caxton Restaurant & Bar has launched a brand new Pre-Theatre Menu. A seasonal early-evening dining option in the heart of Westminster, designed for theatre-goers, concert audiences and cultured sightseers alike. The new Caxton menu offers seasonal British cooking inspired by its very own Roof Kitchen Garden, served calmly, confidently, and in time for the night ahead in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting. Monday-Sunday 5-6pm. Two courses – £30. Three courses – £38.

• Starters include Burrata with smoky red pepper coulis, Heritage tomato and fig, basil and mint pesto (V); Balsamic glazed candy beetroot with puffed rice, orange, Kombu and hazelnut jus, ruby beetroot XO (VE) or Sweet potato and lentil soup, crispy kale and sriracha yoghurt (VE)
• For mains, choose from the catch of the day – fresh fish daily from around Britain's shoreline; Marinated butternut steak, smoked garlic chimichurri and corn puree, salted granola (VE) or a Heritage onglet steak 225g, caramelised shallot purée, mushrooms stuffed “Roscoff” onion smoked to perfection on the Caxton's signature Josper grill.
• And last but not least, dessert options include Olive oil panna cotta, poached pear, honey, balsamic crémeux; Banoffee cheesecake, Banana and lime jelly, cinnamon cream cheese mousse, dulce de leche or Chocolate sponge cake, caramel ganache, mango and chilli salsa (VE)

About the Kitchen Garden: 

Food steps rather than food miles. Our Head Chef works together with our gardeners to plant and grow an abundance of vegetables, fruit and herbs on our rooftop garden; harvested daily this fresh produce influences many of the dishes on our menus. This oasis in the sky is filled with beds, pots, a greenhouse and bee hives, where our delicious honey is made.
