Where Love Meets: W Sydney Launches a February-Long Celebration of Connection, Desire and Self-Expression

Marriott International | Australia

Sydney, Australia - 6 February 2026 - This February, W Sydney reimagines what i means to connect. Spanning Valentine's Day through to Mardi Gras, Where Love Meets is a curated program of dining, wellness and cultural moments that reflect how people come together today - with intention, openess and freedom of expression.

Designed to move beyond a single night or traditional expectation, Where Love Meets unfolds across the month, blending intimate dining experiences, low-pressure social connection and bold collective celebration, culminating in a late-February rooftop moment that brings the city together for Mardi Gras.

At the heart of the programme is a collaboration with cultural commentator and dating expert Sera Bozza, who joins W Sydney to help unpack modern dating, desire and connection, sharing her perspective with guests and shaping conversations that feel honest and refreshing low-pressure.

At the centre of Where Love Meets is the idea of "The Messy Middle" - the space most people actually occupy when it comes to love and dating. Neither neatly coupled nor emotionally detached, it's the inbetween: still trying, still hopeful, occasionaly tired, but choosing to stay open. Often overlooked by traditional Valentine's Day narratives, The Messy Middle celebrates the effort, vulnerability and humour that real connection requires. At W Sydney, the concept is brought to life through elevated dining, shared experiences and social moments designed to help guests connect naturally and on their own terms.

"Modern dating isn't a fairytale or a failure. It's mostly people putting themselves out there, getting it wrong, and choosing to show up again anyway. Valentine's Day tends to skip over that middle ground, even though that's where most connections begin," says Sera Bozza. "The Messy Middle with W Sydney is about celebrating that effort, instead of pretending we're all either coupled up or completely unbothered. It's for everyone still in their love story... the ones who haven't given up on connection, even when it's messy."

Valentine's Day, Reimagined at BTWN - Friday 13 - Saturday 14 February

At BTWN, W Sydney's signature resturant, Valentine's Day is reimagined with a two-night set menu designed to bring intention and connection to the table. Priced at $145 per person, the four-course experience features freshly shucked oysters, a choice of Wagyu beef tenderloin or Glacier 51 Toothfish, and dessert, with a Strawberry Champagne Spritz on arrival.

Adding a subtle layer to the evening, Sera Bozza-curated conversation prompts are woven into the experience, offering playful, contemporary cues designed to spark curiosity and meaningful conversation throughout the night.

The Messy Middle: Valentine's Eve with Sera Bozza - Friday 13 February

Celebrate Valentine's Eve with The Messy Middle Gelato & Wine Social at BTWN, hosted by Sera Bozza. Designed as a low-pressure social gathering, the evening invites guests to mingle, indulge and connect through open, candid conversation around modern dating, desire and relationships. For this special event, BTWN's signature Gelato & Wine offering is elevated, with each ticket including a limited-edition Strawberry Bombe Alaska with torched meringue, paired with a glass of wine. Throughout the evening, Bozza will engage with guests, unpacking why traditional Valentine's Day scripts feel increasingly out of step and why relaxed, real-world connection is back in favour. Tickets are complimentary but strictly limited.
