Start planning your tastiest trip of the year – the 2025 Taste Bundaberg Festival program has just dropped, and it's stacked with flavour, fun, and a few cheeky surprises. Running from 5 - 14 September, this delicious 10-day celebration of food, culture and community is your official invitation to explore Queensland's tastiest food bowl - just a breezy four-hour drive north of Brisbane.
From sunset serenades overlooking scenic farms and full moon market feasts to hands-on foodie experiences, paddock-to-plate dining and plenty of local brews to sample, Taste Bundaberg Festival is more than an event. It's a reason to hit the road, fill the esky and stay a little longer.
This year's program brings back favourites like the Taste Bundaberg Market at Alexandra Park on Saturday 6 September - a lively showcase of seasonal produce, local makers, entertainment and street eats. Plus, MasterChef fan favourite Harry Butterfield returns to inspire with cooking demonstrations and a heartfelt nod to his Bundaberg roots.
“It's exciting to see hosts offer new events in this year's program, as well as the return of popular favourites,” said Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn.
“Taste Bundaberg Festival is always a highlight on the event calendar, and this year is no different. There is something for everyone, from picnics and family-friendly fun days to craft brews and casual dining experiences.”
Katherine Reid, CEO of Bundaberg Tourism, said: “Whether you're road-tripping with mates, bringing the kids or booking a grown-up getaway, the Taste Bundaberg Festival is your backstage pass to meet the growers, makers and culinary creatives behind Queensland's freshest flavours.”
With events happening across the region, it's the perfect time to explore more than just the menu. Think reef and rum, bush and brew, coastline and countryside. Go from snorkelling the Southern Great Barrier Reef to sipping local gin under the stars. Spend your mornings picking strawberries and your afternoons picnicking in macadamia orchards.
Whether you're a seasoned Taste-feaster or it's your first time pulling up a seat at the long table, now's the time to lock it in. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 9 July, so start building your itinerary and booking your stay.
