Midnight Hotel, part of Marriott International's Autograph Collection, is proud to launch the Lume Suite by Tommy Balogh – an immersive new accommodation experience that champions local creativity through light, colour, and contemporary art.

Made possible through the support of the ACT Government's Tourism Product Development Fund, the suite features seven original artworks by Canberra-based artist Tommy Balogh, transforming hotel luxury into a living art installation. Select pieces, including the large-scale, light-reactive centrepiece Goddesses Dance, are illuminated by colour-adjustable LED lighting – a signature example of Balogh's distinctive style of combining technology, light, and abstract expression to create thought-provoking experiences.

This is Midnight Hotel's second collaboration with Balogh, following his celebrated feature in the hotel's Meet the Maker series – an initiative dedicated to showcasing the artwork, craftsmanship, and culinary delights of Australian artisans. The Lume Suite expands on this commitment by creating a fully immersive artistic environment, marrying Balogh's dynamic artworks with luxury hospitality.

Balogh is renowned for his immersive, abstract style that combines technology, light, and organic forms to create dynamic, multi-dimensional experiences.

Guests of the Lume Suite will also enjoy a luxury king bed with premium linens, an ensuite with rain shower and bath, Hunter LAB amenities, a full lounge and dining area, and an in-room espresso machine. A highlight of the stay is the exclusive Whiskey Lume Bar – a curated selection of premium whiskeys and a non-alcoholic malt, served with dehydrated oranges and ice on request for the perfect pour.
