Open for reservations on Friday and Saturday evenings from 19th August, the refined private residence is available exclusively for guests dining at LVN Restaurant, the estate's renowned fine dining establishment, providing a seamless blend of relaxed luxury and culinary excellence within the serene setting of the Adelaide Hills.
Named 'O' Quarters after Bird in Hand co-founders Andrew and Susie Nugent's son, Oscar Nugent, who also inspired the signature 'O' Sparkling, the three-bedroom residence offers stylish and contemporary accommodation for up to six guests. The quarters are conveniently located adjacent to LVN Restaurant, led by executive chef Jacob Davey, where guests can experience a leisurely, long lunch, before unwinding in the surrounds of the Adelaide Hills.
The design of 'O' Quarters, a private extension of the Nugent family home, greets guests with an abundance of relaxed contemporary style. Its art-filled walls, nooks and hallways form the backdrop to a well-appointed Sparkling Suite and two Garden Suites, each with ensuite bathrooms. The master Sparkling Suite includes an in-room freestanding bathtub for the ultimate indulgence.
Guests are invited to unwind in the shared central living and dining areas, featuring an open fire for the cooler months, an eclectic library and parlour games such as chess and backgammon. Shared kitchen and laundry facilities are provided for added convenience, as are all the latest modern technologies.
Founder, Susie, looks forward to welcoming guests of LVN Restaurant to 'O' Quarters, which was previously only made available to friends of the brand. “We are excited to offer guests of LVN Restaurant the opportunity to discover 'O' Quarters and immerse themselves in the charm of our Woodside estate,” she says.
The gardens that encircle the residence and restaurant were designed by Susie, and together with Andrew, she filled the grounds with Australian and international artworks. “This collaborative effort is exemplified in 'O' Quarters too,” Susie says. “We've fitted out the residence with many of our favourite things, from artworks and books to the little comforts we most enjoy when staying somewhere away from home.”
During their stay, guests of 'O' Quarters are encouraged to explore the estate's expansive gardens and dynamic sculpture collection, embracing the serene atmosphere of the Woodside estate across the seasons. Following a lunch reservation at LVN Restaurant, guests have the option to pre-order a chef-prepared light dinner ($65 per person) delivered to their accommodation in the evening.
Continental breakfast is provided for all guests, which includes fresh-baked local Adelaide Hills sourdough and artisan pastries, preserves, granola, tea, coffee, milk and juices. The shared kitchen offers guests the option to bring, store and cook their own breakfast items, while outdoor seating allows for breakfast to be enjoyed against the backdrop of the gardens and rolling hills beyond.
