Is ice cream's 'Friday night treat' status under threat? In a consumer survey*, just over 2 out of 5 people agreed an indulgent yoghurt with real fruit is more appealing than ice cream, with a similar number admitting they could happily eat a whole tub of indulgent yoghurt in one evening.
Well over 7 out of 10 questioned preferred real fruit to artificial flavourings in their food whilst over half would be happy to serve an indulgent fruit yoghurt to friends and family.
Around 1 in 3 people think luxury yoghurt is more appealing as a dessert given the perceived health benefits in comparison to other desserts; yoghurts tend to have fewer calories than many other desserts, including ice cream.
And with 1 in 5 people feeling guilt after eating an entire pot of ice cream, that figure is just 1 in 10 after indulging in an entire, large pot of fruit yoghurt.
Presented in new look, widely recyclable packaging, Bonne Maman fruit yoghurts can be found at Waitrose and Coop stores plus online at Ocado. 450g tubs with rrp £3.20 are available in five, tremendously fruity, indulgent flavours - Rhubarb & Strawberry, Morello Cherry, Violet Fig, Raspberry & Blackberry plus Caramelised Apple.
*Survey conducted across 2,003 UK respondents (Nat Rep) between 29th and 31st May 2024 by Censuswide Research Consultants which abides by and employs members of the Market Research Society which is based on ESOMAR principles.
