Finch launches London's smallest pub quiz

Starting from 17 July, locals and visitors alike will have the unique opportunity to partake in a battle of wits within the cosy confines of Finch. With space as premium as the wines on offer, this pub quiz invites pairs of teams with a maximum of four braniacs per team to battle it out weekly in an atmosphere as vibrant as the eclectic community of Brixton itself. Each victorious team will earn their spot in the grand finale at the esteemed Plume Wine Bar, Covent Garden on 28th August, where six teams will compete for the ultimate prize.

When the quizmaster, from the minds of 'Weekly Quiz' www.weeklyquiz.co.uk  who might be overly energetic or notably subdued, comes to your table, he'll ask for a participation fee of £6 per person; this fee includes an answer sheet and a glass of bubbles or house red or white. Before the quiz starts, customers are encouraged to review the themes for the rounds, as some may require preliminary answers.

The triumphant team will celebrate their win with an exclusive trip to 58&Co, a multi award winning, independent distillery in Hackney, founded by Saturday Kitchen regular Carmen O'Neal otherwise known as 'Cocktail Carmen'. Winners will have the opportunity to see how the gin is created and taste the work in a G&T, followed by a delightful visit to Henners. Henners of Hailsham are winemakers that have been harvesting three classic Champagne blend grapes and producing their own impressive English sparkling wines using the traditional French methods. Best known for turning out outstanding vintages every year of both still and sparkling wines. 

The runners-up won't leave empty-handed, as the second prize offers the team a £100 voucher to indulge at a wine bar of their choosing. And for the team in third place, a bottle of the exquisite Henners wine for the team. Gather your squad, test your wits, and you could be sipping on success!

The quiz will feature a variety of challenging categories ranging from general knowledge to quirky facts about wine, ensuring that there's something to test every intellect. In keeping with the spirit of Grays and Feather, participants can expect a dash of the unconventional with their trivia.

In the UK, capital punishment was eliminated in 1969, and it remains so, with no exceptions—even for those who might be tempted to cheat at pub quizzes. To maintain the integrity of the game and avoid suspicion, it's best to keep your phone out of sight during quiz rounds,
