Millbrook Inn

Join Alban Cacaret, managing director of La Commanderie de Peyrassol, for an exclusive Rosé wine tasting evening at the Millbrook Inn, South Pool.

Starting at 6pm on Thursday 11th April, experience wines from this outstanding vineyard in Provence, while enjoying a five-course meal of light meat and fish dishes from a set menu, including vegetarian options. Tickets cost £90 per person and can be booked via the website millbrookinnsouthpool.co.uk or by calling 01548 531581.

La Commanderie de Peyrassol boasts a rich history, having been founded in the 13th century by the Knights Templar. This historic estate was a favourite resting place for pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land and has been restored to produce some of the region's most highly regarded rosé wines.

Alban has overseen the extensive renovation project for his uncle and owner Philippe Austruy who purchased the estate in 2001, and has also played a pivotal role in the vineyard's transition to organic viticulture, marking a significant milestone in the estate's history.

Provence rosé, which is a firm favourite at the Millbrook Inn, has certainly experienced a renaissance in recent years, with wine-makers in the Côte de Provence appellation concentrating their efforts on producing premium quality, refreshing yet complex rosés. These wines have become an "absolute go-to" for wine lovers.

This is a unique opportunity to taste wines from one of Provence's most prestigious rosé producers, spend time with its managing director, and enjoy a delicious five-course meal.
