The next generation of ready-to-drink cocktails are for those that are tired of the same recipes that canned cocktails seem to have right now. Unexpected flavours added to cocktails we know and love - ingredients such as Dragonfruit, Yuzu and chilli - provide a tasty twist to a night out. The venue is the first to list the range with recently updated modern packaging and unique recipes, just in time for the busy summer period.

Our strategy has been to 'lead with live' with multiple partnerships with live events and this is the natural next step for us. indigo is paving the way - out with the old and in with the new. We know consumers want the joy of new cocktail discovery wherever they are, be that a music venue, live event or festival.”

The indigo at The O2 Bar Manager says,

“I first came across Mixtons as it was the exclusive cocktail served at Winter Wonderland in 2023 and the buzz around the stand was incredible. There was a 'wow' moment when I tried their 'twists on classic cocktails' concept and I knew it was going to work for the crowd that we see at The O2, who want unique and unexpected flavours on a brilliant night out. We can't wait to see in the summer with these drinks and to offer our taste-seeking customers something so different and delicious.”

After realising canned cocktails only had 6 flavours available, founders Xav, Ranj and Sim started to come up with new and inspired recipes during lockdown as they socialised on zoom. Friends loved them and within first 12 months, they'd sold 200k cocktails, all created and delivered by hand, by themselves from Sim's kitchen to now having 2 upcoming major retail listings, being stocked exclusively in cocktail partnerships with over 30+ festivals across the summer and Winter Wonderland.

Dragon Mojo is an exotic fruit twist on a classic Mojito with Rum, Mint, Kiwi and Dragonfruit.No need for muddling or hunting down ingredients - we've concocted the Mojito of dreams.
Spicy Melons was originally a mistake - Ranj accidentally mixed two recipes together and this was the result - and friends LOVED it. Tequila, Lime, Watermelon and Chilli - time to spice things up. Tequila, Lime, Watermelon, Chilli.
Forbidden Zest is the Mixtons take on a classic Aperitif - a perfect alternative when Spritz Season hits. Gin, Blood Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Yuzu.

All Mixtons cocktails are 8% ABV, Gluten-free and in fully recyclable cans, available at indigo at The O2.

Mixtons timeline

2017 - Cornwall born and bred, Mixtons founders Xav and Ranj met surfing.
2020 - The friends and their crew socialised via Zoom during lockdown, and they'd attempt to recreate good times with a few drinks in their virtual meet-ups, sometimes indulging in an RTD at the Supermarket and quickly got bored of the same 6 flavours. Bar and Events Manager Ranj - who had recently employed an incredibly skilled mixologist, Sim, started to create his own RTDs for the calls. Sim got involved too with the flavours - the premise being 'classic cocktails with a twist'. The original brand name was 'Knocktails'.
2021 - Cease and Desist Letter arrives from lawyers - turns out 'Knocktails' was already a thing - The Lawyer in question was called Mr Dixton, inspiration for the name 'Mixtons'.
2022 - The business has started to grow at an exponential rate. Ranj accidentally sends out a mix of two early creations in one bottle, accidentally creating a Spicy Watermelon Margarita, 'Spicy Melons' which has become a fan favourite.
2023 - Mixtons launches cans and now has partnerships with over 75 events and festivals in the UK including Winter Wonderland, Boardmasters and Victorious.Xav, Ranj and Sim all DJ at their Mixtons stand.
2024 - 2x national retail listings confirmed, stocked at indigo at The O2.
