Artisan Bean to Bar Chocolate Easter Eggs from Darts Farm

Darts Farm's in-house chocolatier, Cow & Cacao, handcrafts incredible artisan treats using cacao beans sourced from small scale growers in the world's best regions. They are proud to be one of the few UK producers to craft chocolate from bean to bar. Here are some of our favourites from their Easter Range.

A dozen handcrafted egg shaped truffles, crafted with single origin bean-to-bar chocolate and filled with salted caramel and hazelnut praline.

Darts Farm's single origin eggs are handmade using their Madagascan bean-to-bar chocolate, which their in-house chocolatiers craft on the farm, using sustainably sourced cacao beans and their 6-stage process.

Notes to editors:

  • Darts Farm believes in chocolate that is both environmentally and economically sustainable, from forest to food hall. Their priority is sourcing incredible cacao from small scale growers in rare origins around the world to use with milk from their local dairy and other ingredients from their farm.

  • In small batches, their chocolatiers, Louise & Molly, carefully roast the beans, before cracking the shell to release the nib. They then grind the nibs in a granite mixer, the 'conche', for up to fifty-five hours before ageing the chocolate in 5kg bricks for two to three weeks. Finally, they melt it down to create bars, truffles and incredible handcrafted artisan treats.

  • When visiting the farm shop, you can see the whole chocolate making process taking place with Darts Farm priding themselves on educating their customers on single origin cacao and bean-to-bar chocolate. They even run regular chocolate making masterclasses!
