Phizz Launch London-wide OOH Campaign to Support Tesco Express Listing & Launch Core Range to Morrisons.

Phizz are taking on Berocca as the UK's fastest growing effervescent brand; the young, science-led team works with a PhD neuroscientist to develop innovative all-in-one health supplements that are formulated to support daily wellbeing, exercise, travel, and nights out. September sees the rollout of Phizz's first Out of Home Campaign, which will run until the 24th September.

The objective of the campaign is to drive brand awareness across London and to support the launch of Phizz Caffeine Boost in Tesco Express. Bringing the brand to life across a variety of touchpoints and platforms to maximise brand awareness, impact and campaign longevity.

With an expected reach in excess of 7million, taking advantage of the return to office working and September's back to school season, the campaign includes advertising across three high impact mega screens including Canary Wharf, Westfield Shepherds Bush and Westfield Stratford; advertising across 50 food delivery bikes in Zone 1, Central London; 32 further mega screens will run for the full two weeks across zones 1 and 2; Phizz have also created 500 magnetic clings, pavement stencils and sampling bins, the team will be distributing sample product across London for the next two weeks; lastly, Phizz has partnered with Gymfluencers to create 100 bespoke Phizz Caffeine fitness influencer boxes, to enhance social media awareness in tandem with the campaign.

Phizz are also launching Orange, Mixed Berry, Apple & Blackcurrant Effervescent tabs to Morrisons from this week (11th September onwards). The brand will launch with a £6 promo running 11th September to the 17th October, before retailing at £8.00 per tube of 20 tablets. PHIZZ BIOGRAPHY

Phizz was founded in 2015 by four Australian friends. A gap in the market was clear when they couldn't find an all-in-one solution to support their wellbeing when travelling. Phizz 3-in-1 effervescent tablets were developed and quickly gained traction with pro sport and airlines. Poised for expansion, the business received multi-million investment in 2020 and has been on an accelerated growth journey since, rapidly becoming the fastest growing effervescent brand in the UK.

Phizz is now a team of eight people located in Shoreditch, East London; headed up by Daniel Cray, who studied Business & Marketing at Monash University in Melbourne, before going on to work in corporate new business development and communication across sport, travel and lifestyle at Dentsu Aegis Network. Daniel always had a goal to build his own business, Daniel says, “My grandfather, who emigrated to Australia from the UK in the 60s was a salesperson turned serial entrepreneur, has always fuelled my ambition. I've worked since I was 12 years old (as a delivery boy for a local pharmacy) and the drive to succeed in whatever I do is something ingrained from a young age.”

Including Daniel, Phizz has four co-founders. Rory Simmance-Freemantle and Daniel have been best friends since primary school, together they've travelled the world; Daniel met Jon Knight a decade ago whilst interning together at advertising agency Publicis, where they became good friends. Phizz began as when the friends who flew between Australia and Europe regularly, were shocked to learn that you lose two litres of water in a 10-hour flight, they became obsessed with the impact of dehydration on wellbeing

Daniel says, “We were tired of separate multivitamins, electrolyte powders, and sports drinks, a better solution had to exist. How could we hydrate better than water and replenish the daily health essentials - in one product?  We sought help from a PhD neuroscientist and research fellow at NYU who stood behind our idea and agreed to help formulate our winning formulas. We packed up life as we knew it, said goodbye to friends and family, and flew to London to build a self-funded business. After nine months of working around the clock with a Swiss research laboratory... Phizz was born!”

Within six months of business Phizz was stocked by the Grammys and within twelve months it was an amenity onboard Emirates, fast forward to February 2021 and Phizz gained its first national retailer, Sainsbury's. Selling to airlines, pro sports teams and hotels has given Phizz necessary revenue, but also recognition and credibility.

Phizz ran as a self-funded business for five years, kicking off with a five-figure sum from the founding team. With minimal capital, Phizz disrupted its way into the hydration category and had strong early-stage business. Phizz has shifted up a few gears in the last two years; by increasing its retailer footprint, amping up e-commerce, concentrating resources on the UK market and employing a hungry and talented team

Dan adds, “Phizz helps you get one step ahead of your body's battle with today or tomorrow. We're in the business of optimising physiology and lifestyles. We see opportunity to bring strong science with real benefits into various categories in wellbeing. Our range expansion has begun in gut health - one of the fastest growing health concerns for brits. We're on a path to becoming a household name in the UK and we already see strong global interest in our brand and products”.
