It is illegal to get behind the wheel under the influence of cannabis, there are obvious concerns for those wishing to use a product made from that very plant. So, let's clear up any unanswered questions. 

The most important thing is - CBD does not contain THC. THC is the compound found in cannabis - the illegal substance in the UK that makes you 'high'. CBD is made from the same plant, but does not contain THC, and therefore will not make you high and is not considered a controlled substance. Therefore you are permitted to drive if you have used a CBD product. As CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, it cannot make you drowsy, is not intoxicating, and therefore you can safely drive, exercise or operate heavy machinery after taking it. 

In the UK, CBD products are completely legal providing they contain less than 1mg of THC per container, or less than 0.2% THC.
