Notes to Editors:

Yondu is a 100% plant-based umami seasoning product that adds savoury flavour to all your dishes. It works particularly well with vegetables.

Umami is a rich savoury flavour and is one of the basic tastes. This taste is typically associated with meat, seafood and cheese.

Yondu Vegetable Umami is made from organic soybean essence* (soybeans*, water, salt, rice*), organic vegetable stock* (white radish*, cabbage*, leek*, shiitake*, garlic*), and yeast extract. This slow fermentation technique is the key to developing Yondu's deep and balanced flavour from such simple ingredients.

Yondu is vegan, gluten-free, organic, non-GMO and clean label.

Yondu was created by Sempio Foods in Korea, an established food company available in 70 countries. Sempio has spearheaded the study and innovation of Korea's plant-rich cuisine for over 75 years and is committed to encouraging a healthy yet delicious vegetable-centric diet through its global product range which is uncompromised on quality and taste.

In 2018, Sempio opened Yondu Culinary Studio in Manhattan to promote a plant-centric diet through culinary events and activities.  The same year, Yondu won the NEXTY award at Anaheim Natural Foods EXPO, being recognised as the most progressive, innovative, inspiring and trustworthy brand in the natural product industry.
