Yorkshire-based Bax Botanics is delighted to announce that Sea Buckthorn and Verbena Alcohol-Free Spirits are a key ingredient in 2 cocktails in the just announced Voyager Zheng menu at GŎNG at Shangri-La, The Shard, London. Sea Buckthorn features in Causeway Mist and Verbena is showcased in the Dry Tai.

GŎNG pays tribute to the Asian heritage of Shangri-La with Voyager Zheng, inspired by an ancient Chinese treasure ship from the early 15th century Ming Dynasty that travelled the seas with the purpose of exploring new lands. The cocktail menu travels across Asia in a nod to eight countries linked to the Shangri-La brand, from Hong Kong to Singapore, China to India, Malaysia to Japan.

GŎNG Bar Manager, Luca Rapetti says,

“I have long been a fan of Bax Botanics and the work that Chris and Rose do. They have spent decades learning about flavour and are experts in the fields of using wild ingredients and culinary herbs: there are so many synergies to how they work and how we work here to develop new and exciting flavours. Causeway Mist and Dry Tai are delicately complex and the perfect way to find moderation in an evening of drinking, without losing flavour and still feeling as though you are drinking something truly special.”

Rose Bax, Founder at Bax Botanics says,

“Non-alcoholic cocktails are now appearing on menus everywhere, alongside alcoholic cocktails and not separate to the main offering. The craftsmanship that goes into non-alcoholic distilled spirits deserves to be celebrated, and we cannot think of a better place than in the skyscraper setting of GŎNG at Shangri-La, The Shard, London. We're delighted to be part of this menu and featured in 100% of the non-alcoholic cocktails.”

Causeway Mist was inspired by travels to Hong Kong and is described as a 'champagne style, medium-dry' cocktail which is non-alcoholic. It features Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn, Everleaf Forest, Aecorn Dry, Kombucha, Soda, Grenadine and is £14.00 exc service.

Dry Tai was inspired by travels to Sri Lanka and is described as 'exotic, fruity and spiced' which is non-alcoholic. It features Bax Botanics Verbena, Seedlip Grove 42, Orgeat, Gŏng Citrus and Pineapple, Aecorn Aromatic is  £14.00 exc service.

Bax Botanics is growing to feature in cocktail menus all over the world, including New York and Dubai as the prevalence of the highest quality, premium distilled non-alcoholic spirits grows in popularity globally.
