Cheltenham-based Bright Drinks has agreed a multi-year deal - with a 6 figure support package - for the exclusive UK marketing and distribution of WATTSHOT, the UK's first gin shot.
Launched in 2021, WATTSHOT was created by tastemaker Stuart Logan with a desire to invigorate the gin market with something playful, innovative and adventurous and to diversify how people can enjoy gin. Using 8 botanicals, WATTSHOT is a Cherry Blossom flavoured gin, inspired by Stuart's love of sweets as a child that 'tingled' the tongue.
A secret herbal ingredient adds a unique layer, creating a cool mouthfeel - an electrifying tingle - coupled with a clean, botanical flavour. WATTSHOT has already received a number of accolades in 2022: a World Gin Award for Best French Flavoured Gin, an IWSC Silver for Other Flavoured Gin, securing a finalist place in the People's Choice Spirit Awards, and a Silver in the Drinks Business and Spirits Business Spring Tasting, Spirits Business Gin Masters (Awarded Master) 2021, and a Bronze Award from the London Spirits Competition. It comes in at 37.5%, and uses 100% natural ingredients.
Ultimately crafted to be served as an extra chilled shot, WATTSHOT works equally as well as a cocktail ingredient or a unique aperitif: the expert team at Bright Drinks will be working on bespoke cocktail menus with some premium accounts in the months ahead.
The striking branding from award-winning designer Tom Hingston - famed for his work with musicians such as Massive Attack, Grace Jones, Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones - was designed to become an iconic centrepiece to get customers talking, with standout backbar presence and an ultra-premium feel.
