Kent-based Terlingham Vineyard, a family-run coastal vineyard, has launched Terlingham Bacchus Dry Gin, a beautifully crafted small-batch spirit distilled with English wine produced from its naturally farmed land.
Ideal for wine and gin aficionados alike, Terlingham Bacchus Dry Gin marries the two tipples to create small batches of limited-edition gin, produced with seasonal wines from Bacchus grapes grown and harvested just once per year with zero artificial chemicals. No two batches of the gin are the same, with the year of production placed on each bottle neck which makes it perfect for a special gift or to impress at a summertime soiree.
A classic dry gin, the premium spirit features a finely balanced mix of botanicals including juniper, fresh citrus, honey and rhubarb, alongside the 'magic' ingredient - Terlingham's award-winning Bacchus Wine. Produced using grapes grown from the same chalk seam as the Champagne region and benefiting from a coastal climate, the addition of Bacchus Wine creates a delicate sweetness and notes of elderflower and gooseberry, ideal for summertime sipping.
Guaranteed to be popular with gin collectors, Terlingham Bacchus Dry Gin (70cl, 40% ABV) is presented in an elegant 100% post-consumer recycled glass bottle and is available from www.terlinghamvineyard.co.uk (£36.50) and Master of Malt (£37.95).
Jackie Wilks, Co-founder, Terlingham Vineyard said: “After over a decade perfecting our wine-making skills, which are rooted in a sustainable and ethical approach to production,
we're delighted to be launching our first limited-edition gin which has an unrivalled vibrant, natural taste.
“By combining both our award-winning Bacchus Wine with fresh botanicals including foraged nettle and coriander from our neighbouring community garden, we've taken great care to ensure that our flagship gin not only reflects Terlingham Vineyard, but also Folkestone, our home.”

NOTES TO EDITORS
Terlingham Vineyard
Terlingham Vineyard is a natural, family-run coastal vineyard in Kent with a passion for the environment, producing award-winning English wines and gins.
Ran by three sisters, Jackie, Caroline, and Ashleigh, alongside mum, Lorna and Dad, Graham, the family brims with natural farming expertise, wine and spirits knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for producing high quality products.
Located on the Kent North Downs, the vineyard is on a south-facing slope overlooking Folkestone and the English Channel and has a negative carbon footprint of -11.91 tonnes per year.
The vineyard employs natural farming methods which means no artificial chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or insecticides are used, vine cuttings are ploughed back into the earth and a seaweed mix provides the vines with nutrition. Its coastal position allows the vineyard to benefit not only from a sunny position, but also a sea breeze which blows any potential mildew away. The chalk soil is the same chalk seam which runs from Dover to the Champagne region, providing excellent drainage, giving the wines a clean minerality.
An award-winning business, amongst its many accolades Terlingham Vineyard's 2020 Manor Rose claimed a Bronze award and its 2019 Sparkling White Silver claimed a Silver award at the IEWA 2021. Its flagship gin, Terlingham Bacchus Dry Gin claimed a Gold medal at The Spirits Business Spring Tasting Competition 2022 and a Silver medal at the 2022 IWSC.
Terlingham Vineyard has partnered with Folkestone-based Locavore Growing Project to source its gin botanicals wherever possible.
The vineyard also offers overnight accommodation at its boutique Rooms at the Winery B&B, as well as weekly wine tasting events.
