Great food starts with great ingredients. That's why Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has partnered with 9 Meals From Anarchy to develop a collection of 5 delicious River Cottage Vegetable Stocks.
Hugh said 'We've worked really hard for more than a year to get these amazing products just right, so they will add depth and richness to your cooking every time you use them.'
There are 5 flavours; Ultimate Umami, Smoky Spicy, Garlic & Herbs, Tomato & Basil and Hugh's Classic. The range is versatile and easy to use. Get creative like Hugh: 'I use them all the time – not just for making actual stock, where required in a recipe, but also instead of salt for directly seasoning all kinds of soups, stews, pies, ragouts and sauces.'
1 jar of stock is the equivalent of 14 stock cubes or pots, so 1 jar goes a long way. Just 1 teaspoon of paste makes 500ml stock.
Tom Whitley (9 Meals From Anarchy director) said 'Our mission is to make great food. Food that supports a fairer, more sustainable food system. We all know that we need to eat more veg, but it shouldn't be a chore, it should be a pleasure. That journey should start with stock!'
For 9 Meals From Anarchy working with the River Cottage team has been a pleasure. 'People say it's dangerous to meet your heroes, but in our experience it has been excellent. For the past 20 years Hugh has been exposing the peaks and pitfalls within the food system. We are so proud to be part of the Food To Inspire change movement.'
Shop the range and check out River Cottage recipes at www.ninemealsfromanarch.co.uk.
105g jars are £3.49 or £17.45 for all 5 flavours.

9 Meals From Anarchy
In 1896 Alfred Henry Lewis stated, “the only barrier between us and anarchy is the last nine meals we've had”. 9 Meals From Anarchy are here to change what and how we eat.
Food fuels us and so we should make it as nutritious and delicious as possible. For the 9 Meals team that means supporting sustainable organic veg and making veg based foods. Their mission started with vegetable stocks and bouillons, the base of so many meals.
9 Meals From Anarchy are based in Saltney (North Wales).
