It 'Asda Be the Most Sustainable Pizza on the Planet

One Planet Pizza

If you love pizza and our planet, then One Planet Pizza could be the pizza to share with your friends and family. The UK's first vegan frozen pizza brand to have carbon labels on its boxes is launching a range of handcrafted pizzas made using family recipes into Asda this April.

One Planet Pizza's Mediterranean Vegetable, Three Cheeze Margherita, Spicy Peppernomi and Hawaiian will be available in Asda stores and online at Asda.com from mid April (RRP £3.75)

Each box contains one 10″ pizza, which is two servings and on average the pizzas have a 47% lower carbon footprint than a standard pizza, comes in zero-to-landfill packaging[1] and One Planet Pizza plants one tree for every 50 pizzas sold.

Each delicious recipe is topped on a delightful thin crust base, infused with olive oil before being stone baked for a restaurant quality crusty finish. What's more, pizzas contain 30% less fat than leading frozen pizzas. Just choose your deliciously future-proof pizza.

One Planet Pizza Spicy Peppernomi, 302g (RRP £3.75) is an epic party pizza with a kick to it and an impressive 54% lower carbon footprint than a standard meat pepperoni pizza. Deliciously handcrafted thin and crispy stonebaked pizza loaded with the family recipe tomato sauce, Spicy Mexicana® Vegan and Jack & Bry Jackfruit Pepperoni.

The CO2e savings of three Peppernomi pizzas over three normal pepperoni pizzas saves the same emissions as one person taking a one-way trip on the Eurostar from London to Paris. Oooh La La – that's far!

For a cult classic One Planet Pizza Hawaiian, 355g (RRP £3.75) is loaded with juicy pineapple chunks complementing protein rich THIS™ Isn't Bacon Plant Based Lardons, with melty vegan cheeze and topped with red onions.

Love it or hate it, this pizza has a whopping 53% lower carbon footprint than its cheesy counterpart. That's another A Carbon rating and kind of a big deal.

For the pizza lover with all the cheezy jokes, One Planet Pizza's Three Cheeze Margherita 320g (RRP £3.75) is loaded with the family recipe tomato sauce, semi dried cherry tomatoes and a unique blend of three melty vegan cheezes. This pizza has a 37% lower carbon footprint than a standard three cheese pizza.

For those who love to get their vegetables in, One Planet Pizza Mediterranean Vegetable deliciously handcrafted thin and crispy stonebaked pizza is loaded with the family recipe tomato sauce, melty cheeze and roasted Mediterranean style vegetables and topped with black olives. This pizza has a 46% lower carbon footprint than a standard vegetable pizza.

Three of the four products achieve A ratings - meaning the pizzas sit in the band of manufactured food products with the lowest carbon emissions.
