Gleneagles' Bespoke Chocolate Eggs Go on Sale for Easter

Gleneagles Chocolate Eggs

Renowned Perthshire hotel and country estate, Gleneagles, has become the first hotel in Scotland to produce its very own chocolate egg available to purchase as the perfect gift this Easter.

Created by Executive Pastry Chef Phill Skinazi and his pastry team, the Gleneagles Easter Egg is made using Gleneagles and Valrhona's custom developed blend of 64% dark chocolate – which is also used across the venue in desserts and sold as a chocolate bar at Gleneagles & Co. within the venue's retail arcade.

Drawing inspiration from Perthshire berries, peat and the purity of the countryside, the Gleneagles dark chocolate produced by luxury French chocolatier, Valrhona, is described as a celebration of these local flavour notes and the finest ingredients from around the world.

For added luxury, the Gleneagles chocolate Easter Egg is filled with handmade whisky truffles, created with Gleneagles' very first single malt developed in collaboration with nearby distillery, The Glenturret.

The Easter Eggs are now available for pre-order and will officially hit the shelves on Wednesday 30 March, priced at £38 each. A very limited number of eggs are being produced and pre-ordering is advised.

To order, call Gleneagles & Co. on 01764 694 193 or email gleneaglesandco@gleneagles.com. Purchases are collection only, no shipping.

About Gleneagles

Since opening its doors in June 1924, Gleneagles has been one of Scotland's most iconic hotels and sporting estates. Set beneath the Ochil Hills, in the heart of Perthshire, it has been the must-go destination for travellers for nearly a century. Beginning its life in the glamorous age of travel when guests arrived in great style at Gleneagles' very own train station, the 850-acre estate epitomises the natural beauty for which Scotland is famed. With its Glorious Playground of country pursuits and activities, the hotel is reclaiming its position on the social calendar. Now under new owner Ennismore, Gleneagles has enlisted the skills and expertise of some of the UK's most acclaimed designers including David Collins Studio, Timorous Beasties, Macaulay Sinclair, Goddard Littlefair and Ennismore's own in-house design studio – to create designs and spaces that celebrate the hotel's rich, glamorous heritage.

Gleneagles is part of Ennismore, a creative hospitality company rooted in culture and community, with a global portfolio of entrepreneurial and founder-built brands with purpose at their heart.
