Hyatt Regency Sydney introduce G&Tea - High Tea with an Australian Twist

Australia's largest upscale hotel, Hyatt Regency Sydney has refreshed its signature high tea – introducing G&Tea at Hyatt Regency Sydney, a modern Australian twist on the well-established high tea.

Available for guests and locals to experience every Friday and Saturday at 2:30pm at the hotel's Lobby Lounge, G&Tea will take taste buds on a multi-sensory journey, with savoury and sweet delicacies infused with Australian native flavours, botanical gin & tonics and a selection of artisan loose-leaf teas. 

Pastry Chef, Prashant Anand and Executive Chef, Sven Ullrich have combined forces to deliver guests a smogasboard of delicacies inspired by Australian flavours - celebrating bush tucker and weaving native botanicals with the melting pot of cuisines found in dining scenes around the country. From freshly-baked warm scones matched with Australian jams and honey infused clotted cream, to wattle seed zucotto and prawn twisties – G&Tea at Hyatt Regency Sydney is not your average high tea.

Playing on Australia's patriotic rivalry with the UK and increasing love for Gin, guests will receive 2x G&Ts expertly crafted with Australian Poor Toms Gin (Sydney Dry or Strawberry) and London Dry Gin (Opihr Oriental Spice or Bloom London Dry Gin), all perfectly paired with Fever-Tree Tonic.

Setting the scene with mystical dry ice, the Botanical Dessert Table is the theatrical showstopper of the experience. Native flavours such as aniseed crème brulee is torched to perfection right at the table, while raspberry-orris root chocolate is magically melted in front of the guest before being served - spoiled for choice, guests can feast on over eight creative treats.

G&Tea at Hyatt Regency Sydney includes:

  • an abundant selection of sweet & savoury delicacies (scones, savoury high tea stand, dessert table)
  • 2x Gin & Tonics (non-alcoholic gin options available)
  • selection of artisan loose-leaf teas from Rabbit Hole Tea and coffee
  • 1 x voucher for a mini G&T at Jackalberry Bar
