'Tis the season for cosy nights in, venturing out to Christmas markets and welcoming friends over for long awaited festive catch ups.
Much-loved cider brand, Magners Irish Cider, has shared four brand new seasonal serves to complement every occasion this December. Whether you're looking for a twist on the traditional glass of bubbles or a warming mulled cider, the recipes are sure to add some extra sparkle to home gatherings this festive season.

Magners winter serves...
Mulled cider - Original
Serves 4 people (half quantity to serve 2)
Est. ABV per serving, 7.7% (2.1 units)
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves (or 4 whole cloves)
- 100mls dark rum (white rum or spiced rum, if you prefer)
- 1L Magners Original (2 x 500ml bottles of Magners Original)
Method: Warm the cider in a pan, do not boil. Add the ingredients and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. Ladle mulled cider into a heat resistant glass mug. Add orange peel or other festive spice to garnish. Serve warm to guests or set up an area in the kitchen for them to finish with their own garnish.
Magners Spritz
Serves 1 person
Est. ABV per serving, 5.3% (1.6 units)
Ingredients:
- 100ml Magners Rosé
- 100ml soda water
- 100ml prosecco
Method: Add ice cubes to a long stem wine glass until half full. Add your Magners Rosé then prosecco and top with soda water. Garnish with three slices of apple, then enjoy!
Mulled cider - Dark Fruit
Serves 4 people (half quantity to serve 2)
Est. ABV per serving, 4%
Ingredients:
- ½ large orange
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 4 cloves
- 1L Magners Dark Fruit (2 x 500ml bottles of Magners Dark Fruit)
Method: Warm the cider in a pan, do not boil. Add the ingredients and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. Ladle mulled cider into a heat resistant glass mug. Add orange peel or other festive spice to garnish. A fruity twist on a classic!
Magners Mule
Serves 1 person
Est. ABV per serving, 8.1% (2.7 units)
Ingredients:
- 150mls Magners Original Cider
- 50mls vodka
- ½ freshly squeezed lime
- 100mls (or top with) ginger beer
Method: Load up a ¾ copper mug with crushed ice. Squeeze fresh lime into a mug. Add 150mls Magners Original Cider. Add 50mls vodka. Top with ginger beer. Stir before serving. Garnish with lime wedge, apple slice and/or cinnamon stick.
