
Pigs in Blankets reign supreme on the Christmas table, but this year HECK has given the essential side dish a healthier makeover with the launch of Chicks in Blankets. A tasty twist on the traditional, these bite-size versions of their popular gluten-free chicken sausages are wrapped in streaky bacon and are deliciously sticky and moreish eaten hot or cold.

HECK Chicks in Blankets with sticky bourbon glaze
Serves 4+
Ready in 50 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pack HECK Chicks in Blankets
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp bourbon
Dash of tabasco
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°c/fan 160°c and line a baking dish with foil.
- Evenly space out the Chicks in Blankets onto the tray.
- Mix the honey, bourbon and tabasco in a dish.Pour one quarter of the sauce into a separate bowl and set aside for serving at the end. With the remaining sauce, pour three quarters over the sausages, reserving the rest for basting during cooking. Use a pastry brush to ensure all the sausages have been coated in the sauce.
- Bake sausages for 40-45 minutes until golden and crisp.Baste halfway through the cooking time with the rest of the sauce.
- Place on a serving plate and drizzle overthe sauce set aside in the separate bowl.
