After a fabulous day yesterday with our stand being opened by the historian and TV presenter Ruth Goodman. And a wonderful time connecting with gardening colleagues. We are proud to announce that the Burpee Europe and Pennard Plants exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show, inspired by the American author Bill Alexander's new book: 'Ten Tomatoes that Changed the World' has won a GOLD. The book and exhibit explore ten significant moments in the history of the tomato through ten key varieties. Each reveals a different aspect of the relationship between our cultures, our economies, and a single remarkable plant species.

The exhibit also showcases several lesser-known fruits such as okra and cooking cucumber, all of which can accompany the tomato in the garden and kitchen.
