A brand-new Italian fusion Braseria and cocktail bar, Meadow, has opened its doors in Ealing. Offering a contemporary take on traditional Italian cuisine with a relaxed atmosphere, the venue is bringing a slice of Italy to West London.
With a capacity for 111 covers, diners can enjoy the same impeccable standards as Co-founder Igor Matrosov's other successes. He's already been behind some of London's favourite brunch spots including, Las Banderas named as one of the 'best-selling brunches' in London by Secret London and consulting for the holding company of Covent Garden's AVOBAR and PANCS CAFÉ with locations in London, Switzerland USA and Hong Kong. Alongside, his executive chef Oliver Pollard, and a 5* mixologist, Meadow is bringing a brand-new experience to diners.
Focussing on the best seasonal British produce, Meadow blends an appreciation of classic Italian dishes with contemporary cooking. At the heart of the menu is a charcoal grill, which offers additional flair to the fusion. Custom-built in Dorset, using 100% ethically produced, distilled English charcoal, the grill brings a distinctive 'flavour of the forest' to Meadow.
The menu features traditional favourites such as Bigoli with St George's mushrooms and Mafaldine with roast beetroot, almond, breadcrumbs and chilli. All handmade pastas, inspired by regional dishes in Italy, are freshly prepared each morning, to bring the most authentic Italian experience to patrons. This care and authenticity is realised across the entire menu right through to the desserts made by Meadow's Northern Italian pastry chef.
The unique menu was created by Executive Chef, Oliver Pollard, who has taken inspiration from his time working with some of the top chefs in the industry. Oliver's style and creative flair has influenced Meadow's Italian fusion, as he brings together all his previous experience and love of contemporary dishes in one menu. He says, “I wanted to create a menu that takes inspiration from Italian dishes, whilst having the freedom to interpret them in my style, and not be too tied down to tradition. I want to cook the food that I love to eat”.
To complete the Meadow experience, the restaurant's aesthetic also promises to be noteworthy. The lavish venue is the perfect setting for diners as they can take in the stunning décor, and flower walls. There are many interactive features throughout the restaurant, including a swing covered in a floral vine, which makes a statement at the front of the venue. The venue is set to provide perfect photo opportunities for guests.
In addition to the interiors, Meadow also takes great pride in sourcing sustainably and thoughtfully, and their food will evolve with the seasons. They depend on closely built relationships with trusted suppliers to bring daily deliveries of fish from day boats on the South coast and the West Country, live shellfish from Scotland and vegetables from skilled growers in the UK.

This resonated with Oliver and formed the basis of his career from this point. He has since worked alongside many other respected chefs, in some of the most well-known kitchens across the world, including Jason Atherton at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, Maze, and Marcus Wareing under James Knappet.
Oliver's passion and expertise were integral during the launch of the well-known Smokestak restaurant in Shoreditch, which was awarded a Bib Gourmand. Since then, he has spent his time working in Michelin-starred restaurants internationally.
