Harbour Rocks Hotel Sydney – MGallery's contemporary Arabian restaurant 'Tayim' has relaunched its outdoor space this winter, with 'Terrace by Tayim.'
This colourful middle-eastern themed bar is inspired by the unique sights, sounds and flavours of the Middle East, and is located in the heart of The Rocks along the historic Nurses Walk.
Terrace by Tayim celebrated its launch in true Middle-Eastern style, with a street party extending across the Queen's Birthday long weekend. Key features included live music every day, fire pits with jumbo roasted marshmallows, Middle-Eastern street food cooked on an outdoor barbecue and Tayim's signature mulled wine.
At the launch:
- 2250 jumbo marshmallows were consumed (enough to fill 10 bathtubs!);
- 25kg chicken was eaten (the weight of a typical 6 year old);
- 20kg lamb was eaten (an adult elephant's heart); and
- 65L mulled wine was enjoyed responsibly (including 10kg citrus and 1kg spices)
Live music will be a big focus for Terrace by Tayim. The emphasis will be on showcasing a variety of music styles, including world music, pop, and jazz. Established and upcoming acts will be featured across a variety of genres, which is sure to be a hit amongst locals and visitors. Events such as 'The Sydney Songwriters Festival' will take place in the Terrace space, enhancing the connection between sight and sound.
Executive Chef Leron Avraham, Tayim's newest team member hailing from Israel, has crafted a menu designed to be enjoyed by all ages, taking inspiration from traditional middle eastern food with a modern twist. While the specific menu changes according to seasonal availability, guests can expect fresh and vibrant offerings, such as kofta skewers and Tayim's famous falafel, generously served in pita bread with a variety of dips and garnishes.
With Vivid Sydney around the corner, Terrace by Tayim will not be short on fun activations. Guests can expect an interactive Vivid-centric experience, to delight kids and adults alike. Tayim will feature a glow-in-the-dark cocktail for grown-ups, some fun surprises for the kids, along with other special touches presented with signature Tayim flair.
