Design-led, boutique hotel collection, QT Hotels & Resorts, and the iconic Seppeltsfield Wines have partnered to bottle a sessionable Riesling from the legendary Quelltaler Vineyard. QT and Seppeltsfield's 'Quelltaler Vineyard' Riesling, or simply, QT Riesling, is exclusively available across QT's signature restaurant and bars in Australia.
The partnership with Seppeltsfield Wines, one of Australia's oldest wineries founded in 1851, has been led by QT Group Wine Director, Chris Morrison.
“This is a QT wine that is not only really delicious but created with the wine drinker in mind. Its super sessionable, loves food, especially local shellfish, and celebrates the very best of Australian wines. With access to the country's best Riesling vineyards, rich heritage and desire to innovate, we couldn't have dreamed of a better partner than the iconic Seppeltsfield Wines to make QT Riesling a reality,” says Morrison.
QT Riesling goes hand-in-hand with flirtatious feasting on the menu at Gowings Bar & Grill at QT Sydney, Pascale Bar & Grill at QT Melbourne, Santini Bar & Grill at QT Perth, Yamagen at QT Gold Coast and Capitol Bar & Grill at QT Canberra.
The wine was sourced from the Clare Valley region, located in South Australia and is home to some of the best Rieslings in the world. The region's characteristic thirst quenching citrus flavours are framed by Riesling's pitch perfect acidity. Enhance the fresh and mineral properties of this Riesling to balance the saltiness of raw fish at Gowings Bar & Grill with Yellowfin Tuna Crudo or Yamagen's signature Thinly Sliced Snapper sashimi. The finish is a signature spritz of lime, harmonious with the crispy skin of Santini Bar & Grill's Pan Seared Kalbarri Snapper. The Riesling is the perfect aperitif to accompany Pascale Bar & Grill's freshly-shucked Sydney Rock oysters, to Capitol Bar & Grill's Rusty Wire Oysters where the Riesling's signature burst of lime cleanses the creaminess between each oyster.
Lauren Mudge, Head of National Sales and Marketing, Seppeltsfield Wines, says 'We are thrilled to partner with QT Hotels and Resorts across Australia. The seamless alignment of our brands helped us to reach a distinctive label design that is modern, yet contemporary, which also reflects the wine style perfectly. The QT Riesling was sourced from our plantings in the Watervale sub-region of the Clare Valley, showcasing our most historic 80 year old vines of the renowned Geisenheim clone”.
Sip QT Riesling across our signature restaurant and bars throughout Australia, because at QT, wine is not only a passion, it's a ritual, it's a way of life - the QT Life. QT Riesling is exclusively available across QT Hotels & Resorts' signature restaurants and bars in Australia.

About Seppeltsfield Winery:
Seppeltsfield was established in the Barossa Valley in 1851, by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt. Steeped in rich Barossan heritage, the estate is considered a true national treasure which helped shape the history of the Australian wine industry.
The estate is privately owned under the custodianship of proprietor Warren Randall, a qualified viticulturist and winemaker who worked for the Seppelt family during the 1980s.
Seppeltsfield is most famed for the Centennial Collection - an irreplaceable and unbroken lineage of Tawny, every vintage from 1878 to current year. The estate remains the only winery in the world to release a 100 year old, single vintage wine each year.
Seppeltsfield's winemaking philosophy is guided by four elements, which reflect both their history and their future endeavours. Their wines are handcrafted ultimately for enjoyment, but with an eye on ageability. Their unique 1888 Gravity Cellar plays a significant role in the style of many of our bottlings, and for their still wines, they celebrate the
re-imagining of traditional fortified varietals. These elements are grounded in a belief of place over person. Seppeltsfield's winemaking team's primary aspiration is to translate the character of their vineyard sites and each season – in the wines themselves.
Seppeltsfield is a marriage of Barossan history, community and fine winemaking endeavour. A new golden era now sees FINO restaurant, JamFactory Craft + Design Studios, Vasse Virgin Skin Care, Octeine Coffee and Dragan Fine Art Gallery contribute to an exciting renaissance of Australia's iconic wine estate.
