Devon based Sandford Orchards has launched a four can pack of its best selling cider, Devon Red (ABV 4.5%). This new pack is available from selected convenience stores and independents across the South West RRP £5.99 for 4 x 440ml cans.

Barny Butterfield, Chief Cidermaker at Sandford Orchards comments: “Our Devon Red is our most popular cider.  It is a supreme session cider, naturally tasty and utterly delicious. With BBQ season upon us and outdoor gatherings now permitted, we felt that this was the ideal time to launch this new four can pack. Cans are light, less fragile than bottles and eminently more portable making it the perfect format for al fresco consumption.” 

Barny continues: “As part of a recent £1.2m investment in our business we installed a brand new canning line to meet the growing demands for more canned drinks and have plans to  produce canned versions of the rest of our range of session and fruit ciders over the coming months, so watch this space.”

Devon Red Cider (ABV 4.5%) is a delightfully balanced, refreshing medium cider named after the rich red soil of the orchards where it is grown in Devon. It is a fresh apple cider that already has a huge number of devotees and the can format is expected to widen this following even further.

Founded in 2002, independent, family-owned Sandford Orchards is based in Crediton, Mid Devon in the oldest working cider mill in the UK. The area has long been known as one of the most fertile parishes in all of Britain, both for its grazing and ability to grow apples. Crediton sits in the lee of the moors, so receives the right amount of rain and the right units of heat in summer.
